How to Install LibreOffice on Backtrack


How to Install LibreOffice on Backtrack - LibreOffice is open source personal productivity suite for Windows, Macintosh and GNU/Linux, that gives applications for all your document production and data processing needs. LibreOffice has 6 application that will help you to processing your documents, there are Writer, Calc, Impress, Draw, Math and Base. LibreOffice not installed on Backtrack 5, Black Buntu, Debian by default so we must install it manually. Here the tutorial of installing LibreOffice on Backtrack 5 or Ubuntu Family.

First, you must download LibreOffice from http://www.libreoffice.org/download/.
And than extract the file have you downloaded using command
tar -xzfv [LibreOffice File]
Second, go to the DEBS directory
cd [extracted LibreOffice dir]/DEBS 
Third, install the deb package
sudo dpkg -i *.deb 
Fourth, the last step is integrated the LibreOffice in the application menu
cd [extracted LibreOffice dir]/DEBS/dekstop-integration
And than, install the dekstop inteegration package
sudo dpkg -i libreoffice3.5-debian-menus_3.5-202_all.deb
